Our Story

Aria operates as a program of Project Help Network, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. PHN’s foundation gives Aria the stability to launch, grow, and serve — while we build toward a future where Aria can stand on its own as an independent nonprofit.

We’re just getting started, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Who We Are

Aria was born from a simple truth: individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) deserve more than to be an afterthought. Too often, the people who need the most support fall through the cracks — caught between denied claims, staffing shortages, and systems that weren’t designed with them in mind.

We’re here to change that.

Aria is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to strengthening the pathways that connect individuals with IDD to the services and support they deserve. We don’t replace existing providers, we fill the gaps that leave families and caregivers without options.

What We Do

Nursing & Training Support
From nursing delegations to CPR certification and staff training, we help day programs and host home providers build the capacity they need to deliver quality care — without burning out.

Representative Payee Services
We provide rep payee services to help individuals and providers manage benefits responsibly, ensuring funds reach the people they’re meant to serve.

Eligibility & Benefits Support
When funding is disrupted, billing is denied, or Medicaid eligibility lapses, we step in to bridge the gap so individuals don’t lose access to the care they depend on.

Benefit Counseling
Our Benefit Specialists help individuals and their support teams understand how wages and earnings affect Medicaid, Social Security, and other critical benefits. We make sure people can pursue employment with confidence, without putting the coverage they rely on at risk.

Why Aria?

Most disability service organizations cast a wide net. Aria was built differently. We focus specifically on the IDD community because we know that a broader approach often means this population gets lost in the shuffle.

By narrowing our focus, we can go deeper, building real relationships with providers, families, and communities, and delivering support that actually fits.

Our Values

Everything we do is guided by four core values — and yes, they spell our name.

  • A — Access: Every person deserves a clear path to the services they need.
  • R — Resilience: We show up in the hard moments and help communities build strength that lasts.
  • I — Inclusion: IDD individuals belong at the center of the conversation, not the margins.
  • A — Advocacy: We speak up, step in, and stand alongside the people and providers doing this work every day.

Geneva Goss
Executive Director

Geneva Goss is the founder and Executive Director of Aria Foundation, a nonprofit founded to address gaps in care and antiquated systems impacting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

Her work has been shaped through close family ties with service providers but also importantly, her friendships and relationships with family members who have felt the limiting options firsthand, the disrupted services, and differential standards of care. Geneva has seen through them the impact of thoughtful, person-centered support and harm resulting from systems that fail to provide stability and dignity.

Aria Foundation was established to carry on the legacy of a family member who dedicated his life’s work to protecting dignity, stability, and opportunity for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. His commitment to standing up for those who cannot always advocate for themselves helped define Geneva’s understanding of responsibility within this space and remains central to Aria’s reason for existence.

Professionally, Geneva brings a background in public relations, communications, and community engagement, which informs Aria’s advocacy-forward approach. Under her leadership, Aria focuses its efforts on filling funding gaps so that people do not lose essential services; providing specialized nursing and wellness support; expanding transportation access; and advocating for better standards of care. As the organization grows, Aria intends to develop meaningful day program models in states where options remain limited.

In her free time, Geneva continues to be involved in her community through nonprofit board service, cherishes her family, and loves spending time outdoors with her husband and two dogs, Rocky and Goose.
